Opsys Technologies is an early-stage startup building a LIDAR sensor for the automotive and robotics industry based out of Israel. Founded in 2016 by the former CEO of Finisar and several of his colleagues, Opsys’ sensors utilize completely solid-state components to deliver a high-speed, low-cost, and highly manufacturable LIDAR. The team’s industry knowledge of the photonics supply chain and their unique approach which integrates off-the-shelf VCSEL lasers with a proprietary sensor positions them as a strong competitor to capture the next generation automotive sensor market.
