Biography

Bob founded Osage Partners in 1990 and has built a track record as a top-performing venture investor. In 2009, Bob launched Osage University Partners (OUP) along with founding partners Marc Singer and Lou Berneman. Along with the other Managing Partners, Bob is responsible for overseeing and approving all Partnership investments and all other Partnership and organizational activities. Bob has held various board seats over the years for OUP portfolio companies, and currently sits on the board of Embodied and Opsys.

Bob is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma, where he is a partner in a fourth-generation family business. Prior to founding Osage, Bob clerked with the honorable Walter K. Stapleton, U.S. Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and practiced corporate law at the Philadelphia law firm of Wolf, Block, Schorr & Solis-Cohen. He is a graduate of The Yale Law School, where he was an editor of The Yale Law Journal, and of Yale College, from which he graduated summa cum laude.

Bob is a trustee of Thomas Jefferson University, where he chairs the Innovation Pillar, and is a former Chair of Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and trustee of its former parent, Jefferson Health System. He serves on the Board of Directors of The Alliance for Decision Education and on the Investment Committee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  Bob has served as a board member or trustee of several other non-profit organizations, including the Free Library of Philadelphia Foundation, the Advisory Council of the Yale Entrepreneurial Institute, the Business Development Committee of The Wistar Institute, The Yale Law School Fund, Friends Central School and as a former President of the Board of Trustees of The Philadelphia School.

Bob and his wife Marta reside in Merion, PA. They have three grown children.
